ABOUT ME

I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (DVSA ADI) based in the village Kilve at the edge of the Quantock Hills.
I was born in Thurso at the very top of Scotland before moving to the South West when I was very young.  I lived in Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton from the time 16 until I joint the Royal Navy in 2002.  During that time I lived in Scotland, Cornwall, Bath and Portsmouth before returning to Somerset in 2019, when I left the Navy, with my wife and 5 kids.
Having always been told by friends, family and work colleagues that I was a calm and relaxed type of person.  Having had a lot of experience training and coaching colleagues, and subordinates, from my time in the Navy becoming a Driving Instructor seemed like natural second career. 
At the heart of everything that I do is my passion for helping people achieve their goals, and grow in confidence in the process.  I allow everyone to learn at their own pace, providing flexible lessons so that you can become a safe and confident driver.  Of course, the best way to achieve this is to make lessons as enjoyable as possible with you leading the way on what you want to achieve. 
Lessons are always conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner as I firmly believe in making pupils feel at ease during lessons (I don’t shout!!!).
